The California Theatre of Santa Rosa

Adding to the city's vitality and livability, The California is a new arts and entertainment venue in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa.

Building on the legacy of Santa Rosa’s original vaudeville California Theatre (1923-77), The California offers a variety of cultural activities, including live music, comedy, theatre, dance, lectures, classes and more. The new event venue with bar and cabaret-style seating is home of resident theatre companies Left Edge Theatre and Young Actors Studio (previously in residence at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts since 2015).

We embrace patrons, visitors, artists and community members from all backgrounds. We provide exceptional service to our resident companies and to all who present or experience the arts at The California.
