Details
“A Woman Carrying a Mulheobeok” is a life-size basalt statue depicting a traditional Jeju method of carrying water before running water became common in the 1960s. Donated to Santa Rosa by Bukjeju-gun in 2006, it commemorates the 10th anniversary of their sister-city relationship. In Korea, such statues often stand at village entrances to ward off evil spirits.
