Details
Red Quake (1980) by Peter Forakis is a twelve-foot, 5,000-pound red steel sculpture inspired by an earthquake he experienced while teaching at UC Berkeley. Two intersecting rectangular planes, one appearing to sink, the other balancing, create a dynamic sense of tension. The bold color and geometric form reflect Forakis’ exploration of stability, disruption, and structural precision. Red Quake is installed in Santa Rosa’s Juilliard Park through a collaboration with the Voigt Family Sculpture Foundation.Nearby Food & Drink
