"Redwood Fences" (1960) by Stefan A. Novak comprises 15 redwood panels surrounding the Central Santa Rosa Library courtyard. Irregularly cut pieces create textured, interlocking patterns that echo the library’s redwood window screens. Supported by steel rebar and anchored to concrete, the panels function as both sculpture and architectural elements, complementing the building’s stained glass and original Carnegie stonework.
