The Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Monument by Mario Uribe honors Sonoma County men and women who served in the armed forces, especially those who died in battle. Dedicated in 2008, the site features etched granite columns, a central pedestal with a bronze American flag, and plaques representing all six military branches. Annual Veterans Day ceremonies are held there.
