ZAG (2002) by Michael Hayden is a color-changing fiber optic light installation on a pedestrian bridge at Prince Memorial Greenway. Large-diameter fiber optics, powered by metal halide illuminators with programmed color sequences, illuminate the walkway and bridge outline. Hayden, a Santa Rosa–based artist renowned for architectural light sculptures, transforms the bridge into a dynamic sculpture celebrating light, technology, and motion.
