The Lost Church brings you Dark Matter Lives! + special guests, as part of Ross Street Sessions, happening every Friday from August 14 through October 30 only on Ross Street! Ross Street is your Downtown destination for live music, food, drinks and fun for all ages.

Dark Matter Lives! is an improvisational, experimental, psychedelic hip hop duo from Sonoma County. The group - featuring rapper/vocalist KING LUNG and beat architect CRYSTAL MATHMATICS - builds spontaneous, genre-bending soundscapes that blur the lines between performance, ritual, and controlled chaos.

Drawing from influences as wide-ranging as Tupac, Bob Dylan, MF DOOM, Tom Waits, Dr. Dre, Black Sabbath, Aesop Rock, Week, Kendrick Lamar, The Flaming Lips, Mac Dre, Wendy Carlos, and Mos Def, their music lives at the intersection of raw freestyle and sonic experimentation. Live, they loop beats, layer vocals in real time, and often invite the audience to join the cypher - transforming each show into a one-of-a-kind collaboration. 

Sometimes they accidentally reinvent classics; sometimes they create galaxies on the spot. Every performance is unrepeatable. Dark Matter Lives! - where hip hop dissolves into the cosmic unknown.
